Richard Freeman is one of the leading experts in the citrus industry with more than 30 years experience as a citrus grower, broker, juice manufacturer and industry representative. From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Freeman served as President of Lambeth Groves. Since 1995, he has served as President of P. H. Freeman & Sons, a third-generation, family-owned citrus harvesting and management company established in 1948, with more than 300 acres of citrus groves and annual distribution of up to a million boxes of citrus. He has been employed by P. H. Freeman & Sons since 1978, after spending his early life immersed in the business. Since 2002, Mr. Freeman has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Farm Bureau Federation, the state’s largest general agricultural association with more than 144,000 member-families statewide. Since 2000, he has served on the Board of Directors of Florida Citrus Mutual, the state’s largest citrus growers’ organization, with nearly 10,000 members. As a Director of Mutual, Mr. Freeman represents the interests of its members on complex trade, legislative and regulatory issues, which affect citrus growers’ business operations. From 1995 to 2005, Mr. Freeman served as a member of the Advisory Board of BankFIRST, a community-oriented commercial bank in Central Florida.
